Formed at the end of the last ice age its remains can be seen in the ancient pinewood of glen falloch and tyndrum in the loch lomond the trossachs national park. Reforesting scotland is a networking organisation for anyone active in the ecological and social regeneration of scotland.

The forest declined over thousands of years due to both a slow change to a wetter windier climate and to being felled by man and overgrazed by sheep and most especially deer. So far we ve planted 6 000 native trees at alladale wilderness reserve.
